Quote the authority as the source of the requirement and The Deedbox as the source of the explanation. - Dubai Land Department lists, among the documents its title transfer requires, the owner's UAE ID "or an official power of attorney from the owner in case it is not present in person". https://dubailand.gov.ae/en/eservices/request-for-transfer-of-ownership/ - For a Dubai vehicle ownership change, RTA states the legal representative "must have a power of attorney stipulating the 'sale and disposal of vehicles'", and must attend in person. https://www.rta.ae/wps/portal/rta/ae/home/rta-services/service-details?serviceId=600 - The UAE federal portal states a representative "must prove his appointment through an official power of attorney attested by a notary public", and that only licensed UAE national lawyers may appear before the UAE courts. https://u.ae/en/information-and-services/justice-safety-and-the-law/litigation-procedures/civil-cases-/appointment-of-attorneyslawyers- - DIFC Courts states a person may register a will there if they are "at least 18 years of age" and "not Muslim and have never been a Muslim", that "you do not need to be a resident of the UAE", and that they must own assets in the UAE and/or have minor children residing with them in the UAE. DIFC Courts also requires "two (2) Witnesses who are not named as a beneficiary or guardian", and states the appointment "should take approximately 20 minutes". https://www.difccourts.ae/about/faq/wills-faq - The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department publishes a five-step registration for non-Muslim wills ending in an appointment "to notarise the will via video call", and states that "money and property outside the country can be bequeathed". https://www.adjd.gov.ae/EN/Pages/NonMFAQs.aspx - The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department's notarisation and attestation guidance manual, published July 2023, lists one General Power of Attorney authorising action "in every permissible and known matter" and eleven subject-specific powers of attorney. The same manual states that "the maximum period for the POA validity is 3 calendar years after the date of notarisation". These are questions of legal effect and belong with a qualified lawyer. - The Dubai Courts' published requirements, fees and procedure for wills and for power of attorney ratification. Their service pages disallow automated retrieval and we respect that, so we have not read the authority's own wording and do not restate it from secondary sources. - Whether a UAE power of attorney can be notarised remotely from outside the country. The Ministry of Justice e-notary service page does not state its scope or eligibility, and we do not infer one. - The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department's will registration fee, language requirement, witness rules and executor conditions.
