Which UAE Will is right for me — DIFC, ADJD or Dubai Courts?

It depends on your situation. The DIFC Courts Wills Service registers English-language Wills for non-Muslims and offers video registration — often the simplest route if you live abroad. The ADJD Will is also for non-Muslims, bilingual, with a video route. A Dubai Courts Will is a bilingual notarial Will, usually the most economical, with e-notary video available in the UAE. We confirm which route fits your assets, your family and where you live before you pay anything.

Can I register a Will if I am not in the UAE?

Yes. The DIFC Courts Wills Service and the ADJD both offer video registration, so the whole route can be completed from abroad — and non-residents can register a UAE Will covering their UAE assets. A Dubai Courts Will is notarised in person or, where available, by e-notary video. We confirm the route that applies to you before you pay.

Can I make a UAE Power of Attorney if I am not in the UAE?

Yes. Both UAE residents and non-residents can issue a Power of Attorney for use in the UAE. Depending on your country and the receiving authority, either remote notarisation by video call with a UAE notary applies, or an embassy legalisation route. We confirm which route applies to your specific case before you pay anything.

Does a drafted document mean it has been notarised?

No. Drafting and notarisation are separate steps. A drafted document becomes a legal instrument only once it has been notarised or registered by the relevant authority, and for some overseas cases only after further legalisation. We prepare and coordinate; we do not notarise, register or issue documents ourselves.

Does the document have to be in Arabic?

Yes. UAE authorities do not accept English-only Powers of Attorney. Every document we prepare is bilingual Arabic and English at no extra charge — several providers charge separately for this. Note that a POA notarised electronically is issued by the authority in Arabic only.

How much does a Will or Power of Attorney cost in Dubai?

With us, a Dubai Courts or ADJD Will is AED 1,499 and a DIFC Will is AED 2,499. A Vehicle POA is AED 790, a General POA AED 990, a Property POA AED 1,290 and a Litigation POA AED 1,590. Each figure is the total payable and includes bilingual drafting, the government fee, VAT and card payment. Government fees scale with document value; where that applies we confirm the exact figure before you pay, never after.

Question 7

Can a Power of Attorney be revoked?

Yes. The process depends on the document type and where it is registered — a property POA generally requires the Dubai Land Department to be notified as well. Revocation is a formal process with the relevant authority, not something completed by pressing cancel in an app. We handle revocations and will tell you what the authority requires.
