Using a Turkish vekâletname in the UAE and making a UAE Will remotely
If you are in Türkiye and need someone to handle a property, vehicle, bank, company or court-related transaction in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah or Fujairah, obtain the UAE receiver’s wording before you sign. The UAE missions in Türkiye publish a local chain involving a notarised document, certified English or Arabic translation, Turkish authentication and UAE mission attestation. That is different from an eligible UAE-issued online Power of Attorney, which may avoid the foreign-document legalisation chain but has its own identity, template and attendance conditions. A Will is separate again and must be executed personally through the chosen UAE registry.

The Türkiye-to-UAE route at a glance
The foreign-document route proves the Turkish signatures and seals in a chain that a UAE authority can verify. It does not approve the powers inside the document. The land department, vehicle authority, bank, company registry, court or private counter receiving the POA still controls scope and acceptance.

What the UAE missions in Türkiye actually publish
The UAE Consulate General in Istanbul says the general attestation package includes the original together with a notarised copy. A document not already in English or Arabic should carry an official English or Arabic translation by a sworn translator, and that translation should be notarised. The mission then calls for authentication by the Governor’s Office or District Governor’s Office—Valilik or Kaymakamlık—and by the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs where applicable.
The UAE Embassy in Ankara separately states that documents written in a language other than Arabic or English need a certified translation from a notary. It says documents must be authenticated by the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs before Embassy attestation, or by the Istanbul governor for attestation through the UAE Consulate in Istanbul. These published alternatives are why the page does not reduce Türkiye to one universal counter.
The Istanbul FAQ gives current submission and collection hours, but office hours are operational information, not part of the legal validity chain. Confirm the live appointment, payment and handling method with the chosen mission before sending an original.

Vekâletname, genel vekâletname, özel vekâletname and vasiyetname
Türkiye’de “vekâletname”, bir kişinin başka bir kişiye belirli işlemleri yapma yetkisi verdiği belge için kullanılan temel arama terimidir. “Genel vekâletname” daha geniş bir yetkiyi, “özel vekâletname” ise belirli bir işlem veya malvarlığı için sınırlı yetkiyi anlatmak için aranır. Can you obtain a UAE-issued POA without legalising a Turkish document?
Sometimes, but this is a different route—not a shortcut added to the Turkish document. The UAE Ministry of Justice publishes a digital POA service using specified templates and UAE Pass. Dubai Courts publishes online ratification and says online attestation requires a valid Emirates ID; a passport-only concerned party may be directed to personal appearance. The live application can end without attendance, with virtual attendance or with personal attendance according to the applicant and document.
Where the applicant, identity, document type and required powers fit an eligible UAE notarial service, the result is a UAE-issued POA. In that case there is no Turkish instrument to send through Valilik, the Turkish MFA and the UAE mission. Where those eligibility conditions are not met, the Türkiye-to-UAE foreign-document chain remains the relevant route. “Online UAE POA from Türkiye” must therefore be assessed, not promised from nationality alone.

Property, car, bank and company powers are not interchangeable
For a Dubai property sale or purchase, identify the land authority, title details, trustee or developer, mortgage involvement, authority to sign transfer documents and authority to receive money. A generic “gayrimenkul işlemleri” clause should not be assumed to satisfy DLD, a bank or a developer.
For an RTA or other emirate vehicle transaction, separate sale, transfer, export, registration, insurance and receipt of proceeds. For banking, obtain the bank’s own written wording because private compliance rules may be narrower than a notarised general power. For a company, identify the licensing authority, legal entity and exact corporate act; a POA with commercial content may also be classified differently for attestation.
The same Turkish documentary chain can serve several kinds of UAE transaction, but the powers do not become universal. That is why this is one substantial corridor with links to transaction-specific pages, not thin Türkiye-to-Dubai, Türkiye-to-Sharjah, Türkiye-to-RAK and Türkiye-to-Fujairah copies.
Can someone in Türkiye make a UAE Will remotely?
A Turkish vasiyetname and a UAE-registered Will raise different succession and asset questions. Notarising or legalising one does not decide the effect of the other. The registry route should be selected from eligibility, religion where relevant, UAE assets, family circumstances, guardianship needs, language and published coverage.
DIFC Courts says an eligible non-Muslim testator need not be UAE-resident and may register through a virtual appointment, with witnesses joining from anywhere. Abu Dhabi Judicial Department publishes a Civil Will route for a non-UAE citizen regardless of religion, using its English-Arabic template and online notarial attendance after review. Dubai Courts publishes a separate non-Muslim Will route and distinguishes valid Emirates ID online attendance from passport-only personal appearance.
The testator must execute the Will personally. Whether a UAE Will affects assets or succession in Türkiye, or a Turkish Will affects a UAE asset, requires appropriately qualified cross-border advice.

Is an apostille alone enough for a Turkish POA used in the UAE?
Do not assume so. The UAE missions in Türkiye publish their own authentication and mission-attestation steps. Follow the current mission route for a document destined for the UAE rather than substituting a generic apostille instruction.

Can I register a DIFC Will while I am in Türkiye?
DIFC Courts publishes virtual registration for an eligible testator from anywhere. Eligibility, UAE asset coverage and cross-border effect still need individual review.
Can my vekil sign my UAE Will?
No. A UAE Will must be executed personally by the testator through the selected registry process. A vekâletname does not replace that personal act.
